130 Years of Louis Vuitton’s Most Recognizable Creation
The monogram that defined luxury.
This year, the French fashion house celebrates 130 years of its monogram, and it’s marking the occasion with three capsule collections. Monogram Origine features the signature LV on soft canvas accessories with a linen-cotton texture, while the VVN and Time Trunk collections are inspired by the brand’s roots in leather goods and trunkmaking respectively.

The interlaced initials, designed in 1896, have since been reinterpreted by artists and designers. In 2003, Louis Vuitton, then under creative director Marc Jacobs, released its first collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. His colourful bags are being reissued for the anniversary.
