The Ritz-Carlton Montréal opened its doors on December 31, 1912. Since then the hotel has been the address of choice for discerning travelers and public figures, hosting everyone from Elizabeth Taylor and Queen Elizabeth II to Winston Churchill and the Rolling Stones. The Ritz-Carlton Montréal recently underwent a $200-million renovation. Guests will still find historic charm throughout the hotel, which is Montreal’s only AAA Five Diamond property. The building offers 129 spacious rooms (including 31 suites), nine meeting and reception halls, and 46 condo residences. The Ritz-Carlton Montréal is also known for its upscale restaurant, Maison Boulud, which offers a twist on traditional French cuisine. Guests can also indulge in the indoor saltwater pool overlooking the city from the rooftop, or get acquainted with the surrounding neighborhood, which includes the Golden Square Mile, high-end boutiques, galleries, and museums, all within walking distance.
