Who Let the Balloon Dog Out?

Hublot and Jeff Koons turn one of contemporary art’s most recognizable sculptures into an unexpectedly fun timepiece.

Jeff Koons has made a career of turning everyday objects into art, and now one of his most recognizable creations has found a new home: on the wrist. In collaboration with Hublot, Koons’s famously shiny Balloon Dog gets the horological treatment in the Classic Fusion Balloon Dog. Inspired by Koons’s mirrored sculptures, the watch captures the playful spirit of the original while packing some serious watchmaking beneath the surface. The result is a 42-millimetre watch that is part sculpture, part timepiece, and entirely unexpected.

The Balloon Dog’s unmistakable form appears in miniature, rendered with the kind of polished, reflective finish—in silver, blue, or red—that makes you wonder whether you’re looking at a watch or a piece of contemporary art. It’s a playful reimagining of wearable design, where Hublot’s technical prowess meets Koons’s fascination with the allure of the unconventional.

Limited to 200 pieces per edition, it’s one dog you won’t be fetching at the local pet store.
