Aesop, in a New Light
A luminous turn at Milan Design Week.
At Milan Design Week 2026, Aesop decided it was time to switch things up—literally. The skin-care brand, known for its design-forward boutiques, has stepped into illumination with The Factory of Light, an installation that was tucked inside the atmospheric sacristy of Santa Maria del Carmine church. The setting was a dead giveaway this wasn’t going to be your average lamp launch.

Enter Aposē, Aesop’s debut lighting fixture. Sculpted from cast brass and mouth-blown glass, Aposē was first developed as a bespoke element for the brand’s culturally attuned stores and now, brought into the domestic realm, extends the Aesop language from skin care into atmosphere. Good lighting, like good skin care, is all about transformation, and with Aesop, a little glow goes a long way.
