Caudalie Launches Its First Hair-Care Products
Get out of your lane.
Brands that focused exclusively on the face are going below the neck, fragrance specialists are releasing skin-care products, and basically everyone is launching a perfume. The latest example of this category-hopping trend? Caudalie.
Why would you buy a hair product from a skin- and body-care specialist? It makes sense: hair grows from skin, after all, and many hair-care brands have been incorporating scalp care into their products over the past few years. Caudalie’s first foray above the forehead is with two scalp-focused products: Hair Density Serum and Density & Volume Shampoo, which are for anyone experiencing hair thinning due to stress, seasonal changes, or hormonal shifts during menopause or postpartum.
Both contain VineOxyl, a patented ingredient derived from grapeseed oil and designed to make hair look fuller and thicker. The serum also contains antioxidant peptides to soothe the skin and counter damage from pollution or other environmental aggressors.

According to the brand, testers noticed thicker hair with more volume after using the products for three months or more. The serum is applied every night for three months, using three to four dropperfuls directly on the scalp and leaving on overnight without rinsing. Results can be maintained with twice-weekly use after the initial 90-day treatment. For the sulfate-free shampoo, shake before applying to wet hair, then lather and rinse. Repeat if necessary. The shampoo and serum are vegan, with the serum derived from 99 per cent natural-origin ingredients. The shampoo, derived from 95 per cent natural-origin ingredients, is suitable for coloured hair.
