Canada’s Most Beautiful Restaurants and Bars
The Restaurant and Bar Design Awards 2018 shortlist.
Food is, of course, what draws us to any restaurant—but one cannot discount how much the environment factors into our enjoyment of a meal. Atmosphere is everything, after all. The annual Restaurant and Bar Design Awards recognize establishments around the globe that take this notion to the next level.
This year, six Canadian establishments have been shortlisted for their exceptional achievements in design, recognized for both specific features—ceiling work, use of colour, murals—as well as the overall space. From the playful pastels of Studio Roslyn’s Superbaba in Victoria, B.C., to the curved watercolour ceiling of Studio Munge’s Mister C in Toronto, here are the restaurants and bars representing Canada on the world stage.
