Celebrating our 15th anniversary.

Theatre and concerts delight, inspire, and move us. Onstage, professional performers capture our imaginations with their graceful, energetic, and thought-provoking pieces; they hold our attention, and we are transported. In this vein, we continue our 15th anniversary retrospective with a look back at the stories of performers—dancers, musicians, singers—who have captivated us over the years, highlighted here during moments of note in their careers by NUVO writers and photographers.

These artists continue to delight audiences: tonight, Andrea Bocelli performs in Toronto for the annual David Foster & Friends gala; Greta Hodgkinson dazzles audiences as a principal dancer with the National Ballet of Canada; Plácido Domingo tours Europe during the holiday season; Daniel Lanois is in talks to produce albums for Pharrell Williams and Robert Plant; Michael Bublé’s Christmas album has become a holiday staple; Maroon 5’s Adam Levine leads NBC’s The Voice and was named People magazine’s sexiest man of the year for 2013; Stephan Moccio co-wrote Miley Cyrus’s latest anthem, “Wrecking Ball”.

Herewith, a celebratory interlude.
